Our Mission
Our goal at Current Learning Studio is to make learning practical, engaging, accessible, and available to everyone.
We create educational resources that help learners move beyond simply reading or watching information and instead interact with what they are learning. Through interactive activities, visual instruction, videos, reference materials, and other learning tools, we make complex ideas easier to explore, understand, and apply.
Designed With Both Sides of Learning in Mind
Current Learning Studio is built from experience in both learning and teaching. Our materials are designed with the experiences of students and educators in mind—considering what helps a learner understand a concept, as well as how an educator can effectively teach, reinforce, and assess it.
We recognize that people learn in different ways and that educators often have limited time to create new instructional materials from scratch. Our goal is to develop resources that are clear and approachable for learners while also being practical and useful for the people teaching them.
Free Learning, Built to Be Shared
Our Free Learning Library provides educational resources across science, math, environmental and technical education, general education, and other topics—without requiring a purchase.
Many resources are available as Free Downloads, providing learners with materials they can keep for study and reference while offering educators resources they can incorporate into their own teaching.
And learning shouldn't be a one-way conversation. Through Suggest a Topic, learners and educators can tell us what they would like to learn or teach next. Those suggestions help guide the continued growth of the Current Learning Studio Learning Library.
The Idea Behind CLS
Education doesn't have to be expensive, intimidating, or one-size-fits-all.
We believe good learning resources should be useful to the person learning from them and the person teaching with them.
Learning should be something you can do—not just something you are given.
